Melting Of Greenland

Greenland’s ice piece dissolved over a bigger area recently for several days than at any time in more than three years, NASA said.

Satellites noticed that almost all of the ice protecting Greenland dissolved to some level at the top area, NASA said in a declaration last night on its website. About 50 % of the top area of Greenland’s ice piece touches normally during summer time season, with most of the water refreezing at high heights, NASA said.

“This year the level of ice reducing at or near the top area hopped considerably,” the declaration revealed. “According to satellite tv information, an approximated 97 % of the ice piece surface area thawed out at some point in mid-July.”
